Terms and conditions for using our healthcare coordination platform

Welcome to Iffa Health ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our CareBridge platform and related services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, downloading, or using our mobile application, website, or any related services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

CareBridge is a post-discharge healthcare coordination platform that connects:

  • Healthcare Professionals: Doctors, specialists, and medical practitioners
  • Nursing Staff: Registered nurses and community health workers
  • Patient Guardians: Family members and caregivers
  • Healthcare Administrators: Hospital administrators and care coordinators

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use our services, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent

3.2 Professional Credentials

Healthcare professionals must provide valid credentials and maintain current licenses. We reserve the right to verify credentials and suspend accounts with invalid or expired credentials.

4. Acceptable Use

4.1 Permitted Uses

You may use our services to:

  • Coordinate post-discharge patient care
  • Communicate with healthcare team members
  • Access patient information (with proper authorization)
  • Submit reports and documentation
  • Schedule and manage visits

4.2 Prohibited Uses

You may not use our services to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Share false or misleading information
  • Access unauthorized patient information
  • Interfere with the security or functionality of our services
  • Use our services for commercial purposes without authorization
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users

5. Healthcare Information and HIPAA Compliance

5.1 Protected Health Information (PHI)

Our platform handles PHI in compliance with HIPAA regulations. All users must:

  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Use PHI only for authorized purposes
  • Report any PHI breaches immediately
  • Follow minimum necessary standards

5.2 Data Security

We implement appropriate safeguards to protect healthcare information, including encryption, access controls, and audit logs.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Care Packages

Payment is required for care packages as follows:

  • Starter Package: 800 GHS (4 visits, 1 virtual call, 30 days)
  • Standard Package: 1,400 GHS (8 visits, 3 virtual calls, 60 days)
  • Premium Package: 2,000 GHS (12 visits, 5 virtual calls, 90 days)

6.2 Commission Structure

Healthcare providers receive commissions as follows:

  • Doctors: 15% of package price
  • Nurses: 20% of package price
  • Platform Fee: 5% of total transaction

6.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Paystack. All transactions are subject to Paystack's terms and conditions.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Content

All content on our platform, including software, text, graphics, and logos, is owned by Iffa Health and protected by intellectual property laws.

7.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a license to use, modify, and distribute such content as necessary to provide our services.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

9.1 Medical Disclaimer

Our platform facilitates healthcare coordination but does not provide medical advice. All medical decisions should be made by qualified healthcare professionals.

9.2 Service Availability

We strive to maintain service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue services with reasonable notice.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Iffa Health from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in our mobile application.

11.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activities that harm our platform or other users.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ghana.

12.2 Arbitration

For disputes under $10,000, you may choose to resolve disputes through binding arbitration instead of court proceedings.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting the updated Terms on our website
  • Sending you an email notification
  • Providing notice through our mobile application

Your continued use of our services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Iffa Health regarding your use of our services.
